MA FASHION BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT
The Master’s in Fashion Business and Management course has been designed to provide students with the strategic management skills and knowledge needed to excel in today’s fashion industry. Combining theory with practice, you’ll be able to hone your creative skills and gain expertise in fashion business management within a global context.
Working closely with fashion industry professionals, this course will provide you with a solid understanding of industry marketing strategies and business management skills. You’ll be taught through a range of teaching methods, including industry-relevant lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshops. Throughout the course, you’ll have the opportunity for self-reflection during formative and summative assessments while benefitting from visiting speakers, industry lectures, and external visits. You will also be encouraged to undertake independent research as you learn how to articulate your understanding of the fashion industry by producing a major product that is unique to your creative ideas.
This course in fashion business management builds on the knowledge learnt during undergraduate business courses at LCCA and provides a learning environment where you are encouraged to think creatively and learn strategic skills in fashion business, management and marketing.

Modules under Course
The Fashion Live Project In this unit, you will work on a live industry project in order to test your current skill base and enable you to begin to identify with the dynamics of the fast-paced fashion business environment. Our expert tutors will ensure that the businesses used in this unit are specifically fashion related and that they meet the core values of the university. The Business Lecture Series This unit allows you to explore contemporary business practices central to today's global creative industry. It will allow you to build a portfolio of knowledge pertinent to your chosen area of business. You will be introduced to a series of successful business professionals who will not only inspire you creatively, but also educate you on the realities of industry practice. Creative Thinking This unit is about creative thinking for fashion business. It introduces you to definitions and concepts of creativity, exploring what creativity is and reflecting methods of creativity with concepts of taste, consumer needs as well as user interface. Throughout this unit, you will be required to implement creative processes using various techniques connected with the development of creative skills. Digital Communications and Fashion PR You'll examine the important role of research and evaluation in PR practices. This will involve analysing and evaluating digital communication, which is used for advertising, marketing and public relations. You'll also develop your own framework to use for planning your analysis and evaluation of digital communication.
Ideas Development and Business Proposal This unit will focus on fashion practice research and analysis and you will be required to define and develop individual fashion concepts for business proposals. Your research and practice will be directed and guided by a project proposal in which you negotiate and review your business management practice with your tutors.
Final Fashion Business Project (Production and Realisation) The Final Fashion Business Project is the culmination of your studies and will form a framework for the central ideas and concepts developed throughout your MA. The outcome will demonstrate evidence of advanced conceptual, theoretical and technical capability over an extended period of self-directed study.
